About

These Ramblings are by David George Haskell, biologist and writer.

I live in Sewanee, Tennessee, and teach at the University of the South. My wife, Sarah Vance, and I maintain a small goat-centered farm, Cudzoo Farm; Sarah’s blog is a photo-diary of happenings at the Cudzoo homestead.

The banner photograph on Ramble is from early summer in Shakerag Hollow. The tree canopy had not quite fully leafed out, letting filtered light come through to the young trees in the midstory.
